Properties: white crystal, relative density is 1.91, melting point is 60 centigrade. It is soluble in water and insoluble in ethanal. its aqueous solution shows acidity, It is easy to agglomerate in the watery air., It becomes sodium dihydrogen phosphate anhydrous at 95 centigrade, sodium pyrophosphate anhydrous at 190-204 centigrade, sodium metaphosphate  at 204 –244 centigrade.
